Isn't this lovely?
Before the winds that blow do cease,
Teach me to dwell within Thy calm:
Before the pain has passed in peace,
Give me, my God, to sing a psalm.
Let me not lose the chance to prove
The fullness of enabling love.
Oh, love of God, do this for me:
Maintain a constant victory.
--Amy Carmichael, from Rose from Brier (Fort Washington, Penn.: Christian Literature Crusade, 1973), 12.
I'll second that!

A Constant Victory

A Testimony
I happened to run across this beautiful testimony of a life redeemed from the pit. As one who has walked (though much more briefly) in the pit, I found my heart rejoicing as I read of how God drew her out. May you be as blessed as I was.
Joyously,
-J
Psalm 40
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
He turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.
Joyously,
-J
